Are the Seax functional or decorative?

All of our seax are made to be sharp and functional by default, unless requested otherwise by the customer for reenactment purposes.

Personalised Rune Engravings on the handle

Our seax can be personalised with custom rune engravings on the handle or blade. If you would like a custom engraving please contact us by email or messenger stating your order number and the word or phrase which you would like engraved.

What is a Seax?

The Seax is a type of blade that was commonly used throughout Northern Europe during the Viking age. This was an essential everyday tool that doubled up as a side arm for the Norsemen.

Are the these Viking Seax historically accurate?

We have both traditional and modern designs for the seax. Some of our seax are based upon real historical finds, where as others are more modern interpretations inspired by norse culture. Please see the individual product descriptions for more detail.
